DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, September 30, 2026: The Sports Encounter closed September with the strongest month of discovery growth in its young history, more than doubling its Google Search visibility while expanding rapidly across the United States, Bing Search and AI-powered discovery.
TL;DR: Google Search impressions jumped from 146,205 in August to 368,467 in September 1–29, an increase of 152%. Google clicks rose 57% to 3,344. U.S. impressions passed 100,000 after tripling in one month. GA4 recorded 23,744 active users, while TSE’s first measured Bing period produced 49,240 Search impressions and 9,088 Bing AI citations.
The numbers mark another major step in a growth curve that has accelerated sharply since The Sports Encounter launched in May 2026. What began as individual sports stories finding audiences through search has developed into a much wider discovery footprint spanning traditional search engines, international markets and generative AI systems.
Across the available September reporting windows alone, Google and Bing recorded at least 417,707 conventional search impressions and 3,724 measured search clicks for TSE. That figure deliberately excludes Google Generative AI impressions and Bing AI citations, which are reported separately because they measure different forms of discovery.
Story at a glance

September Changed the Scale of TSE’s Google Search Presence
The clearest measure of the change came from Google Search. TSE generated 146,205 Google impressions during August. In only the first 29 days of September, that figure reached 368,467.
U.S. Google Search Visibility Tripled in One Month
The geographic shift was equally significant. The United States became one of TSE’s most important search markets, generating 100,987 Google impressions in September compared with 33,365 in August.
Nearly 24,000 Active Users Back the Search Growth
Google Analytics data shows that the expansion in visibility was accompanied by continued audience growth. TSE recorded 23,744 active users during September 1–29, compared with 23,139 across all 31 days of August.
Bing Establishes a Second Search and AI Discovery Footprint
September also brought the first meaningful measurement of TSE’s Bing presence. Bing Webmaster Tools was configured during the first week of the month, so there is no valid August comparison. Instead, the available September data provides a first baseline.
The Growth Is Spreading Across Devices, Pages and Search Surfaces
September’s expansion was not confined to one device or one page. Mobile Google impressions increased from 79,289 to 218,589, while desktop impressions rose from 64,520 to 145,445.

| Google Search Metric | August 1–31 | September 1–29 | Growth |
|---|---|---|---|
| Search Impressions | 146,205 | 368,467 | +152% |
| Search Clicks | 2,132 | 3,344 | +57% |
| Pages Receiving Impressions | 1,006 | 1,378 | +37% |
| Queries Generating Impressions | 1,039 | 1,204 | +16% |
| Average Search Position | 8.40 | 8.12 | Improved |
The comparison becomes even more striking after accounting for September’s shorter reporting period. Average Google visibility rose from roughly 4,716 impressions per day in August to 12,706 per day in September, representing approximately 169% growth in the daily rate. Google clicks increased from about 69 per day to more than 115, a daily-rate increase of nearly 68%.

The geographic shift was equally significant. The United States became one of TSE’s most important search markets, generating 100,987 Google impressions in September compared with 33,365 in August.
U.S. clicks increased from 379 to 691, while average position improved from 8.75 to 7.76. The result was a publication appearing more frequently in the world’s largest commercial sports media market while simultaneously moving higher in search results.
| Market | August Impressions | September Impressions | Growth |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States | 33,365 | 100,987 | +203% |
| India | 10,944 | 28,354 | +159% |
| Canada | 5,429 | 11,385 | +110% |
| Australia | 4,530 | 11,521 | +154% |
| United Arab Emirates | 1,951 | 7,201 | +269% |
The geographic expansion reinforces TSE’s development as an international sports publication rather than a site dependent on one domestic audience or one sport.
Nearly 24,000 Active Users Back the Search Growth
Google Analytics data shows that the expansion in visibility was accompanied by continued audience growth. TSE recorded 23,744 active users during September 1–29, compared with 23,139 across all 31 days of August.
The shorter September period makes the daily comparison more revealing. Active users per day increased by nearly 10%, sessions per day rose more than 14%, and returning visitors per day increased approximately 77%.
| Audience Metric | August | September 1–29 | Daily-Rate Growth |
|---|---|---|---|
| Active Users | 23,139 | 23,744 | +9.7% |
| Sessions | 23,183 | 24,813 | +14.4% |
| Returning Visitors | 231 | 383 | +77.2% |
| Google Organic Sessions | 936 | 1,078 | +23.1% |
The rise in returning visitors is particularly significant for a young publication. Search can introduce a reader to a story. Returning readership begins to suggest that some of those readers are coming back for The Sports Encounter itself.
Bing Establishes a Second Search and AI Discovery Footprint
September also brought the first meaningful measurement of TSE’s Bing presence. Bing Webmaster Tools was configured during the first week of the month, so there is no valid August comparison. Instead, the available September data provides a first baseline.
From September 5 through September 27, Bing Search recorded 49,240 impressions and 380 clicks for The Sports Encounter.
During the same 23-day window, Bing AI Performance recorded 9,088 citations. TSE averaged approximately 53 cited pages per day, with citations reaching a one-day high of 949 on September 14 and cited-page breadth reaching 78 different pages on September 16.
| September Discovery Signal | Verified Result |
|---|---|
| Google Search Impressions | 368,467 |
| Bing Search Impressions, First 23 Measured Days | 49,240 |
| Measured Google + Bing Search Impression Floor | 417,707+ |
| Google Generative AI Impressions | 15,597 |
| TSE Pages Receiving Google Generative AI Impressions | 642 |
| Bing AI Citations, First 23 Measured Days | 9,088 |
| Average Bing AI-Cited TSE Pages Per Day | ~53 |
| Peak Bing AI Citations in One Day | 949 |
These figures are intentionally kept separate. Google Generative AI impressions are a feature-level visibility measure within Google’s ecosystem, while Bing AI citations record instances in which TSE content was selected as a cited source. Neither is added to conventional search impressions.
Bing’s referring-domain snapshot added another discovery signal. The report listed 108 backlinks across 13 referring domains, including 51 from MSN and 38 from X.

September’s expansion was not confined to one device or one page. Mobile Google impressions increased from 79,289 to 218,589, while desktop impressions rose from 64,520 to 145,445.
TSE’s AMP search presence expanded even faster, with impressions increasing from 47,151 to 190,392 and clicks rising from 935 to 2,453.

Four Months of Milestones Are Beginning to Look Like a Pattern
The September numbers continue a sequence documented in the TSE Newsroom.
| Milestone | What Happened |
|---|---|
| August 9 | TSE more than doubled 28-day Google Search clicks to 1.2K. |
| September 2 | Cumulative Google Search impressions passed 200,000. |
| September 18 | Cumulative Google Search impressions crossed 500,000 only 16 days later. |
| September 30 | Monthly comparison shows 368,467 Google impressions in 29 days, 152% above August, alongside rapidly expanding Bing and AI discovery. |
The significance is no longer one isolated traffic spike. Different sports, pages, countries and discovery systems are contributing to TSE’s visibility at the same time.
What September Means for The Sports Encounter
For an independent publication that launched only months ago, September represents a change in scale.
The Sports Encounter is now being discovered through thousands of search queries, more than a thousand Google-visible pages, traditional search engines and AI-generated results. At the same time, the publication is seeing measurable expansion in major markets including the United States, India, Canada, Australia and the UAE.
That growing footprint strengthens TSE’s ability to serve sports fans while creating a broader platform for sports organizations, events, teams, brands and commercial partners seeking measurable digital visibility. Organizations interested in working with TSE can explore advertising and partnership opportunities.
