Magdalena Stanislav

Magdalena Stanislav is a writer and contributor at The Sports Encounter, returning to the publication more than a decade after previously serving as its Head of Marketing from 2011 to 2013. Originally from Saint Clairsville, Ohio, she later moved to Australia following her marriage and is now based in the European Union. Her international experience gives her a broader perspective on sport, media, audiences, and the cultural connections that surround major competitions. During her earlier time with The Sports Encounter, Magdalena worked on the marketing side of the publication and saw firsthand how editorial storytelling and audience development work together. She now returns in a different role, contributing as a writer with an interest in the human side of sport, major competitions, athlete stories, and the wider narratives that connect teams and fans across regions.
