Brett Peeples

Brett Peeples is a sports writer specializing in basketball and football, with a particular focus on the professional and college levels. A lifelong sports fan, he brings both deep knowledge and genuine enthusiasm to his coverage, whether he is analyzing a single game, following a playoff race, breaking down a developing storyline, or examining the wider context around a team or player.

Brett began writing about sports in 2021, when he launched his own sports page and started publishing articles across basketball and football. Since then, he has continued developing his voice, expanding his understanding of sports media, and gaining experience covering different sides of the games he has followed throughout his life.

For Brett, sports writing is driven by more than results and statistics. He enjoys the emotion, excitement, and conversation that surround football and basketball, and he aims to bring that energy into his work while giving readers clear, informed, and engaging coverage.

At The Sports Encounter, Brett contributes basketball and football coverage with a strong interest in game analysis, major storylines, postseason developments, team situations, and the issues shaping both college and professional sports.

His long-term goal is to build a full-time career in sports journalism and continue growing as a writer while covering the games he cares about most.
